We are Verpact
We are Verpact and we stand for easy and affordable recycling systems and a circular economy in which packaging material is and remains a raw material.

Als het maar leeg gaat!
Weten waarom je verpakkingen helemaal leeg moet slurpen, zuigen, knijpen, schrapen, likken of pletten?

Tarieven 2024
The PPWR is on the way: what does it mean for you?
The PPWR is the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. It’s an EU law about packaging. We provide full details here of its purpose, its consequences and the ways in which you can prepare for it.

Collection of separated packaging waste at businesses and schools
Verpact’s Afval Goed Geregeld/Well-Managed Waste scheme provides for the free collection of separated packaging waste at businesses and schools. Businesses can register with Afval Goed Geregeld for the collection of that packaging waste that resembles household waste.
Fee Modulation Plastic 2.0
Verpact introduces Fee Modulation Plastic 2.0. This means that producers and importers of plastic packaging that is easily recyclable can receive a discount on the contribution of up to 50 cents per kilogram.

Our recycling results
In 2023, 88% of all packaging released on the market was recycled or reused. This is well above the Dutch legal target of 72% and the European target of 65% (in 2025). This makes us one of the front runners in Europe. The packaging industry takes responsibility, which we as Verpact take on collectively. We still have a long way to go towards completely fossil-free and circular packaging in 2050. We are working on this together with all parties in the packaging chain.
